I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
